The hunt for the water leak continues......

so after my last post the head has been taken off yet again and was heading to work for skimming,
the head was set up and machined with a very slow fly cut and a very slow feed rate to make sure a good surface finish was achieved. once it was set up it became apparent that there was not much in the way of material that needed to come off to get the flatness, overall i only took off 0.06mm which was a lot less than i was expecting, i could have actually got away with only taking off 0.04mm but decided to give it another 0.02mm, just to make sure.

after skimming the head was cleaned up to remove all traces of swarf ready to be refitted.

once i got home the cams were re fitted and the head was installed back onto the car and filled up with water again, now it was just a case of waiting to see if the water showed up again.........
